At Capital Book Publications, we are committed to delivering exceptional publishing, writing, editing, design, and marketing services. Every project we undertake involves substantial time, effort, and creative expertise. To maintain fairness and transparency, the following Refund Policy outlines general conditions under which refunds may be requested or granted. Specific terms may vary depending on the initial official contract offered to each author.
If a refund request is submitted before the delivery of any initial drafts, concepts, or project materials, the client may be eligible for a full refund, minus any administrative or processing fees as specified in the author’s contract.
Refunds may be offered after the first delivery of a manuscript draft, concept, or design, according to timelines outlined in the author’s contract. Typical structures may include:
Within 48 hours of initial delivery: partial refund (subject to contract terms)
Between 48 and 120 hours of initial delivery: reduced partial refund (subject to contract terms)
After 120 hours: refund requests are generally not accepted, unless otherwise specified in the contract
Once the client has:
Approved delivered materials, or
Submitted a revision request,
the project is considered active and accepted. At this stage, refunds are generally not issued, unless the contract specifies otherwise.
Refund requests will generally not be accepted for inactive orders where the client fails to respond or engage for a specified period (e.g., 30 days), unless otherwise outlined in the contract. Reactivation of dormant projects may incur additional fees depending on project stage and complexity.
Refunds generally do not apply once:
Final files, manuscripts, or completed deliverables have been sent
A book has been submitted for publishing or distribution
Book marketing campaigns have been launched, scheduled, or content distributed
At this stage, the project is considered complete. Exceptions may be provided if stated in the author’s contract.
For bundled services (e.g., Writing + Design + Publishing), refunds may only apply to the portion of services that have not yet commenced, subject to terms in the contract.
Refund requests must be consistent with the agreed project scope. If delivered work meets the quality and scope outlined in the contract, refunds will generally not be granted. Further revisions or adjustments may be offered to ensure client satisfaction.
Refunds are valid only for orders placed in good faith. Capital Book Publications reserves the right to decline requests for projects intentionally assigned to multiple providers to obtain multiple refunds, in accordance with the contract terms.
All project materials—including manuscripts, designs, artwork, and formatted files—remain the property of Capital Book Publications until full payment is received. Once payment is completed in full:
Ownership transfers entirely to the client (subject to contract terms)
The client gains full rights to use, publish, modify, or distribute the content
Capital Book Publications is not responsible for incidental similarities between created content and preexisting works.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to our Support Department via:
Each request is reviewed individually, and eligibility is determined according to this policy and the client’s contract.
At Capital Book Publications, we strive to maintain integrity, transparency, and excellence in all our services. While this policy provides a general framework for fairness, specific refund terms may vary by contract. We encourage open communication—our team is dedicated to working with clients until they are fully satisfied.
